In my humble opinion, I personally think that the entertaining chapters that Van Son brings to me and as well as everyone in the Vietnamese community, is absolutely outstanding. I find that these comedies numbers are highly value in my family and as well as myself; it's greatly amusing and brings real laughter from the heart to my family and I. I would like to thank Van Son entertainment for their many years of hardship. And please continue with this outstanding work although the roads ahead may occur some head-aching difficulties, PLEASE KEEP UP and hopefully you won't bring us down. I hope Van Son read this message.
Van Son is the soul of our Vietnamese lives. So here is something I would like to inform, "Thank You."

I bought both sets from vanson for $600, got some bad discs and wanted replacement. I was told to return the disc and boxes as well? I wanted to have them fast but was told that I needed to return them first. What I can say when everything was right but not satisfied. That we called customer services! well, I am trying to figure out if downloading from the internet is faster than waiting for their return. Vanson and viewers can find the answer on their own. I will quick supporting Vanson since it's too hard and to long. Feel bad for the oversea music industry. That's the way it goes anyway.
To the free users: please stop doing that, you are killing us, especially, we have a much appreciated life than those in Vietnam and $20 will not cost you an arm or a leg! |

I skipped forward after most songs started for about 30seconds. Van Son should have variety shows instead of singing and stupid comedies. Why VS, ASIA, and THUYNGA keeps doing the same things over and over again in each and every CD ?
Do something different like movie or porn movie (even better). |

to respond to the comment below: Your argument is understandably true,
I just don't see where raising the price (or creating 2 seperate DVD)
and forcing the legitimate folks to sit through viewing all commercial ads
would consider as moving in the right direction. We need to educate
everyone that it's morally right to only purchase the real stuff. Instead,
it seems like you want to push the honest people to make the wrong choice
by buying the bootleg that has all the ads removed and for alot less. Lack
of integrity will always lose followers. As the same old saying two wrongs
will never make a right. |

To All:
Having view all of your comments, let me says I understand your disappointment and frustration. However, you must understand the astronomical amount of money required to put on a show/production like this. Sure, one can argue that I paid $23 to $33 for the DVD. But really, how many like you, willing to put down the money to buy the real stuff? Not too many, according to the owner. When VS production put on a show, they usually break even at best. Much of the profit, if any, comes from the sell of the video. I once asked the owner about the possibility of lowering the price of their video, so that more people can afford to buy the real thing. Their answered has blown me away. What the owner told me was they could lower the price of the DVD to as much as $1 and still makes million in profit, provide that no fake copy allow on the black market. Let's take for example, Saigon, Vietnam, which currently have a population of 11million plus people. Let says half of the population buy the DVD for $1 each, then that makes the total sell of $5.5 million. Only a fraction of this money go to the production of the video and the rest is the profit will go to the production company. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Majorities of VS video sell in the US and oversea markets are bootleg copy. Thus, VS production does not benefit from it. It also worth to note, that the documentary also cost a lot of money to produce as there are cost for production crew and all the travel associated with it. The point is, there are only a few Vietnamese music production show currently on the market, so there is probably a reason for it. If we continue to support these types of shows, and that the production companies begin to make profit, then perhaps we will see more production company and more good shows to come.
